Our Accident & Emergency Department is open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year to respond to emergencies of all kinds, including serious injuries and urgent medical care.
Our on-site emergency doctors and nurses treat as quickly as possible, the patients with the most acute cases and save the lives of those in life-threatening, critical care situations. This is due to our Emergency Team’s experience, our modern medical and surgical facilities, the in-time medical treatment and, most importantly, the professional and quick judgments of our doctors.
We have on-site, around-the-clock, emergency doctors and nurses, highly-trained in efficient response to emergency calls and critical care, modern medical and surgical facilities. The Emergency Team is supported by over 50 specialist physicians and surgeons who are on call around-the-clock. This means that the entire SCMC medical and surgical staff is at your disposal, should your emergency require surgery, intensive care, or specialized attention.

You can enter our Accident & Emergency Department through the side entrance on St. Clair Avenue or front entrance on Elizabeth Street.
- 24-hour, 7 days a week, Accident and Emergency service
- 24-hour on site doctors, nurses, radiographers, lab technicians, support staff and customer service representatives.
- Non emergency problems are also attended to via our A&E department
Obstetrics, Gynecology, General Medicine and Paediatrics are all part of the clinical services provided by St. Clair Medical Centre.
